The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore will release the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 result in online mode. As per media updates, the CAT result 2022 is expected to be announced by the second week of January 2023. However, the official notification of the CAT result date and time is still awaited. Once released, candidates can check CAT results 2022 at the official website - iimcat.ac.in. St Joseph Engineering College in Karnataka’s Mangalore has suspended students for unapproved dance during an event. A video went viral on social media showing four male students dancing in burqas to a bollywood song. The college clarified on social media that the dance was not part of the programme and it does not support such activities. The college also said that the students belong to the Muslim community and barged on stage during the “informal” part of the event. “The video clip being circulated in social media has captured a part of the dance by students of the muslim community itself who barged on stage during the informal part of students association inaugural,” SJEC said in a tweet. “It was not part of the approved program and the students involved have been suspended pending enquiry. The Delhi University will hold postgraduate admissions through the Common University Entrance Test from the next academic cycle. A resolution for this was passed by its Executive Council on Thursday. Last month, the Academic Council of the university passed a proposal to change the admission pattern for postgraduate programmes. Under the existing system, 50 per cent of admissions are done directly from students who did their bachelor's degrees from the university based on merit in their qualifying examinations. The change in the admission pattern of postgra du ate programmes was proposed by a 10-member committee formed to suggest a strategy for PG admissions from 2023-2024. The remaining 50 per cent of seats are currently filled based on candidates' ranks in the DU postgraduate entrance test.
